What Sets Us Apart

UCC was established in 2008, evolving from the former RMIT team which was one of the league's founding clubs. UCC prides itself on being a truly multicultural and international club having had players from England, Australia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, South Africa, and New Zealand having donned a UCC shirt.  The club's logo was designed to reflect that our players are so diverse. The colors were taken from each of the Olympic rings, representing the 5 different continents. The Vietnamese flag has been cleverly incorporated into the shield to celebrate the fact we are fortunate enough to be playing cricket in Vietnam.

Over the years, we have become increasingly competitive.  After a difficult first couple of seasons, UCC has reached the grand final twice in the last 3 years, losing to SSC (2012) and SACC (2014) respectively.  Win, lose, or tie, we enjoy every run, catch, and wicket and try to uphold the sportsmanship which is associated with our great game.

Our first captain was Jie Van Berkel (Aus) who won the league's best batsman/bowler award in UCC's first year.  Since then, Asif Ali (Ind), Guy Dormer (NZ), who won VCA player of the year in 2010, and Vijesh MV (Ind) have all had the privilege of leading UCC and shaping us into the spirited and competitive team we are today.

UCC welcomes everyone to become part of our cricketing family and we look forward to seeing you on the ground in the future and we hope you enjoy our chant:

OOOHHHHHHH Who Say Say?  They Say Say.  We Say Say.  UCC, UCC, UCC
